Brasilia may not have beaches, but it boasts a huge variety of sports clubs where people take their families for some R&R. It is common for people to spend their weekends and free time in these clubs. There are programs for all ages. So the Yacht Club or 'Iate Cube de Brasilia' is definitely the most complete sports club in terms of the variety of activities you can enjoy in this quaint club at the edge of the Paranoá Lake. It is expensive, as you can imagine, but to me it is definitely worth the cost if you use it weekly.
It boasts a wonderful combination of sport and cultural activities, where you can play squash in the morning and do a guitar or painting class in the afternoon. There are several bars and two restaurants in the club, one being buffet style and the other one being the famous Ouriço, for a more refined taste. There is a great fully equipped gym with a brand-new bike spinning room, but frankly I have never used it since there is so much else to do in this place.
The complete list of sports: Basketball, Beach Tennis, Running Club, Footvolley, Footsal, Judo, Swimming, Artistic Skating, Peteca (a Brazilian feathered half-ball), Water polo, Billiards, Squash, Beach Volley, Tennis, Ping Pong, Volleyball, Sailing, Paddleboarding, Kayak, Hawaiian Canoe, Diving, Para badminton, Kitesurfing and Windsurfing. There are family activities and services for children, like childcare for parents who want to do sports while their children play. Cultural musical programming and wonderful orchestra concerts by the lake twice a year.
Non-sports offerings include free workshops on many topics and classes in many subjects, such as guitar, painting, drawing, singing choir, ballet, dance, and more. I could go on and on as I really enjoy this club on a regular basis. There is so much to do you will never get bored.
Go check it out, it can really make your stay in Brasilia that much more interesting!

With her previous profession employment as a teacher, and having two adult children of her own, she is well placed to take responsibility for any children in her care. Speaking fluent Portuguese and English, your children will be in safe hands and also receive the benefits of improving their language abilities.

I came here to write a post about Billy and I see there already is one! So I'll just add my experience. When I was brand-new to Brasilia I did a group tour of Brasilia. This is a really great tour - you'll learn not only the layout of the city and the history of why it's been done that way, but also get to see all the big monuments and best architecture. I would really recommend this tour if you have family or friends visiting. You'll learn so much about the city, and your guests will feel like they actually know the city.

Moving is often a stressful and daunting task, but AAA Moving & Relocations LLC made it a breeze!
The team was fantastic - they were professional, efficient, friendly and patient! They took great care in packing and securing all of my belongings, and even went above and beyond to collect a few items that I had forgotten.
Paulo Woolny, the owner of the company, was also incredibly helpful throughout the process. If you want a day trip outside the city, Billy does really great tours to Cristalina, Pirenopolis, etc. I went on a Cristalina small group tour with him and it was really fun. My son is still talking about it two years later.

Super affordable, with generous portions. My favorite is the one mixed with cupuaçu sorbet 😍
