In a world of consumerism and a throw-away society it is important that we try our best to support local producers and artisan crafts. One of the community initiatives is this shop.
Commercial São Benedito, formerly known as Cobogó Mercado de Objetos, is a cooperative local producer shop located in SCRN 704/705 in Asa Norte.
It has several different vendors on two levels, selling everything from secondhand clothes, art and craft articles, jewelry, pottery and plants.
They also operate a great coffee shop with outside seating under a magnificent Brazilian fig tree (Ficus cyclophylla), which is an IUCN Red List Endangered species. For the kids, there is a small playground.
This is a great little place to buy some locally produced products and have a nice coffee and cake, all while supporting small business owners.
