Brasilia has incredible bars located all over the city, but if you are looking for an area with cheap beer, live music, pizza and hot dog joints, look no further than the 408/409 commercial zone in Asa Norte.
Not far from the Universidade de Brasília (UNB), this is the favorite hangout for students and graduates alike. Here you’ll find trendy hangouts like Jungle Bar, Pinella, Lion Bar, Vale da Lula, Bar Pôr do Sol, Barkowski, and many more.
You can also enjoy inexpensive but delicious restaurants like Dog do Bartô, Alfredo's Pizzaria, and Whiskeria Berlim, to name a few.
During the beginning of the week, the student bars are not so busy, but from Wednesday night to Sunday, the whole street turns into a party, with live music and performances. And if there is a football game on, buckle your seatbelts. Big screens are set up everywhere, and the whole street is closed for traffic, becoming one huge party zone.
You don’t have to be a student, or a young person, to have a great time. Brazilians are a friendly bunch and welcome everybody. Many locals speak English. Expats will easily find friends and have a fantastic time.
