Bar Dos Cunhados was founded in 1981 and is one of Brasilia’s oldest still existing bars around. It is a typical Brazilian bar with wooden tables and benches on the veranda, and plastic tables and chairs under a huge mango tree in the courtyard (watch out for falling mangos in the mango season).
The service can be a bit slow at times, but it has improved in the last few months. The food is typical Brazilian, and they have a good selection of dishes. They are well known for the oxtail dish. The beer is served ice cold and they have a large selection of cocktails.
Bar Dos Cunhados is a great place to go with friends and have a good time. Just watch out during the football season as this bar is also a Flamengo fans meeting point, so it can get a bit loud and rowdy.
