We would like to share our efforts and contributions to the organization called Associação Despertar Saboeiro. Through our dedicated team and the support of generous donors, we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those living in the Favela Sol Nascente.
One of our key activities is the collection of donations. (I am offering pick-up) We rely on the kindness and generosity of individuals who graciously contribute various items such as clothing, household essentials, toys, and more.
These donations are then carefully cleaned, organized, and prepared for distribution and then delivered to the community in need. We use everything, even clothes with holes, but still useable. We understand the importance of providing essential items to individuals and families who may be facing economic challenges, and we believe in the power of solidarity and compassion.
Once or twice a month, we embark on a meaningful journey to the Favela Sol Nascente, delivering the collected donations to those who can benefit from them the most. This allows us to establish a direct connection with the community, understand their needs better, and provide support in a tangible way. We believe that everyone deserves access to necessities, and we are committed to making a difference in their lives.
In addition to our regular efforts, we also organize an annual yard sale. This event serves two purposes: it provides an opportunity for us to raise funds to support our ongoing operations, and it allows the community to purchase donated items at affordable prices. The yard sale is a fantastic way for us to engage with the wider community and raise awareness about the needs of those living in Favela Sol Nascente.
If you would like to get involved, whether through donations or any other form of support, please reach out to us. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a significant impact and bring hope to those in need.
Our next goal is to build a school! Currently they are doing it in a very small space which we could renovate a little bit. Thankfully we could raise money to get some chairs, tables, shelves, whiteboard, and kitchen supplies etc.

Cristina has a natural ability to engage with children of all ages. With her previous profession employment as a teacher, and having two adult children of her own, she is well placed to take responsibility for any children in her care. Speaking fluent Portuguese and English, your children will be in safe hands and also receive the benefits of improving their language abilities.

I came here to write a post about Billy and I see there already is one! So I'll just add my experience. When I was brand-new to Brasilia I did a group tour of Brasilia. This is a really great tour - you'll learn not only the layout of the city and the history of why it's been done that way, but also get to see all the big monuments and best architecture. I would really recommend this tour if you have family or friends visiting. You'll learn so much about the city, and your guests will feel like they actually know the city.

Moving is often a stressful and daunting task, but AAA Moving & Relocations LLC made it a breeze!
The team was fantastic - they were professional, efficient, friendly and patient! They took great care in packing and securing all of my belongings, and even went above and beyond to collect a few items that I had forgotten.
Paulo Woolny, the owner of the company, was also incredibly helpful throughout the process. He provided transparent and accurate quotes upfront, so there were no surprises when it came to the cost of my move. He also kept me informed every step of the way, which really put my mind at ease. He is always willing to please you if he can and if something is under his control.
When my removal reached Italy, their Italian counterparts were just as efficient and careful. All my belongings arrived in time and in perfect condition, which was great.
Overall, I cannot recommend AAA Moving & Relocations LLC highly enough. They truly are experts in their field, and they made what could have been a very stressful experience into a pleasant and easy one. If you want a day trip outside the city, Billy does really great tours to Cristalina, Pirenopolis, etc. I went on a Cristalina small group tour with him and it was really fun. My son is still talking about it two years later.

Super affordable, with generous portions. My favorite is the one mixed with cupuaçu sorbet 😍
